2026 Taiwan-Japan Neuroscience Exchange Conference

We are pleased to host the Taiwan–Japan Neuroscience Exchange Conference, held alongside the Taiwan Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting (August 21–23, 2026, Taipei, Taiwan). This workshop aims to foster scientific exchange and long-term collaboration between neuroscience communities in Taiwan and Japan.

The meeting will focus on the theme "Islands of Mountain and Ocean", highlighting cross-species neuroscience research across multiple levels, from molecular mechanisms to behavior.

We invite participants to present their work through poster or oral presentations. Both sessions will take place on the first afternoon. Please note that presentation slots are limited and will be selected based on relevance and program balance. Short oral presentations (5–10 minutes) will be prioritized for early-career researchers who have recently established their own research groups.

We warmly welcome students and postdoctoral researchers, and encourage active interaction and networking throughout the workshop.

        The conference will take place at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.

        Academia Sinica is accessible from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE, approximately 40–60 minutes) and Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA, approximately 20–30 minutes) by taxi or public transportation.

        Accommodation

        On-campus accommodation is available at the Academia Sinica Guest House. Availability is limited, and early reservation is recommended.
        Hotels are also available in the nearby Nangang area.

        Most visitors can enter Taiwan visa-free for short stays, depending on nationality.
